Since I've never served in the military, my qualification is my father was a World War Two veteran. One advantage to belonging to Navy FCU is their customer service is open 24/7. Additionally, since they have very few branches across the U. S., most transactions can be done on line or via the telephone with customer service. Additionally, Navy FCU has ATM agreements with many other credit unions which allows you to access your accounts locally. I've not had any experience with loans from Navy, but I can tell you in general their savings rates are among some of the highest in the country. Navy has several savings specials throughout the year that are outstanding when compared to local institutions.
